Who can join OPG?

OPG welcomes people who want to work in a shared pottery environment and be part of a community studio.

Do I need prior experience with clay?

Yes. OPG is best suited to people who already have some prior experience with clay and are ready to work independently.

How much does membership cost?

Membership is $110 per annum.

How do I enquire about joining?

Email otagopottersgroup@gmail.com to introduce yourself and ask about membership.

Can I visit before joining?

Absolutely, yes. Prospective members will meet the membership secretary and be shown around before joining.

Where is OPG located?

OPG is at 6 Neville Street, South Dunedin, Dunedin 9012.

What kinds of events does OPG run?

Members may be involved in exhibitions, market days, and occasional workshops run a couple of times a year.

I'm not ready to join but I want to learn about clay, do you have classes?

The club does not run classes, but classes are sometimes held by our members at our rooms. Check out classes run by Riki through the OUSA, and by Jess Nicholson @sickceramics. Otago Polytechnic also runs evening classes.
